Meet Lisa Misraje

Lisa Misraje (Bentley)

Lisa Misraje (Bentley) is an accomplished author, speaker, and a director of development. Lisa’s journey is a testimony to embracing the road less traveled. At the age of 54, she graduated from the University of Southern California with a Master of Public Administration (MPA) and a bachelor’s degree in NGO and Social Change. She completed both of these degrees as a single mother of six children.

Misraje’s book Saving Levi chronicles the remarkable true story about one woman’s odyssey to help a young orphaned Chinese infant against overwhelming odds. Currently, Lisa is working on developing a short film based on her book, Saving Levi.

Misraje is an international speaker, having been featured in prominent media outlets such as The Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio, and more. She enjoys sharing about adoption, single parenting, third-culture kids, nontraditional and first-generation students, burn survivors, disabilities, faith, and her book.

Born and raised in sunny California, Lisa continues to reside there with her two Old English Sheepdogs. She is the mother to six children: Emily, Ian, Orly, Oliver, Donald, and Levi. She also has three grandchildren: Amir, Somayah and “lil-Radish”(due in October).
